Removable Terminal Safety Relays - Convenient & Cost Effective Control-Reliability

STI's 2000 Series of removable terminal safety monitoring relays are engineered for control reliability and maximum configuration flexibility to suit nearly every potential safety-monitoring requirement. Their broad application range and breadth of features allows them to be applied with various protective devices, with versatility to work with many configurations and switching arrangements to suit the requirements of individual safety systems.
Some key features include:

  • Inputs from a variety of safety devices such as E-stops, interlocks, safety mats and light curtains
  • Single or dual channel inputs with two or three safety outputs
  • One, two or three adjustable time delay outputs for applications requiring a time-delayed stop sequence
  • One, two or three additional outputs without time delay
  • Monitoring of two-hand palm buttons
  • Stop motion sensing
  • Automatic Restart, Manual Restart or Manual Restart with (EDM) External Device Monitoring

Safety monitoring relays provide a convenient and economical solution for incorporating control reliability into a safety circuit. Power to the machine primary control elements (MPCE) is connected through the safety output contacts of the safety monitoring relay. Inputs to the safety monitoring relay are typically from safety devices such as emergency stop switches, limit switches or safety interlock switches. The safety monitoring relay's own output safety contacts are monitored internally. If a fault occurs in the operation of one of these contacts, the safety monitoring relay shuts down, removes power from the MPCE, and prevents a start or successive cycle of the machine until the fault is cleared. In addition, the contacts of the MPCE or external relay can be monitored by the safety monitoring relay.

STI introduces 28 new SR Series Safety Monitoring Relays

The SR 1000 Series of fixed terminal relays and the SR 2000 Series of removable terminal models provide control reliability and maximum configuration flexibility to suit nearly every potential safety-monitoring requirement.

  • Dual channel inputs
  • One, two or three adjustable time delay outputs for applications requiring a time-delayed stop sequence
  • One, two or three additional outputs without time delay
  • Expansion modules for three additional time delayed outputs or differing time delayed outputs
  • Monitoring of two-hand palm buttons
  • Stop motion sensing

This comprehensive family of safety relays carries the CE mark, and is UL and C-UL listed.
