NEW! DG Series Hollow Rotary Actuators from Oriental Motor
Oriental Motor's new hollow rotary actuators from combine the precision of the AlphaStep stepping motor and driver with a large-diameter, hollow output table and gearhead. The output table of the DG series allows direct installation of your load. For applications performing indexing using belts, pulleys or other mechanical parts, the DG series reduces the number of parts and ensures simplicity in design.

The drive motor of the DG series is an AlphaStep stepping motor with built-in rotor-position detection sensor.  This combination results in a shorter positioning time.  In addition, the actuator uses a dedicated driver to monitor the motor speed and position information, and switches to closed-mode control the moment it detects the risk of a misstep.  Therefore, acceleration and deceleration times can be shortened for quicker positioning.

The gear-reduction mechanism of the DG series uses precision gears along with a proprietary adjustment mechanism that eliminates backlash.  The repetitive accuracy of positioning from a single direction is ± 15 sec., while lost motion in a positioning operation from two directions is 2min.  These characteristics make the DG series ideal for applications requiring accurate positioning.

NEW! DRL Series Compact Linear Actuators from Oriental Motor

The DRL series linear actuator is a self-contained package consisting of a 5-phase stepping motor with a hollow shaft rotor connected to a ball screw nut. The actuator uses a microstepping driver to deliver extremely precise positioning.

The 5-phase stepping motor offers high resolution and low vibration.
The driver features microstepping electronics that electronically divide the basic step angle of the motor, thus enabling higher resolution and lower vibration operation at low speeds.

The compact and lightweight body houses the rotating components as well the linear motion mechanism of the stepping motor.  The DRL series helps to achieve a significant reduction in the size of your equipment and system.

The hollow rotor shaft incorporates large bore bearings to directly handle thrust loads.  Minimizing the number of parts involved in linear conversion results in higher reliability.

The DRL eliminates the need to design, acquire and assemble the parts necessary to convert rotary to linear motion.
